Renovations are a great way to improve the value of your home but they can be expensive.  Why not take advantage of some of the rebates available right now.   By doing renovations to make your home more energy efficient you can not only qualify for rebates but also save money on your future energy costs.

If you are only looking at replacing your air conditioner and/or furnace, check out the Save On Energy website.  You can get a rebate of up to $650, depending on the units that you buy. (Restrictions apply of course.)  Check their website for details and printable coupons for light bulbs, fixtures and other energy saving items.

If you are looking to save even more on your energy costs and make a greater reduction in your carbon footprint then you should check out Union Gas/Enbridge rebates.  There are rebates for windows, doors, A/C, heat pumps, water heaters, some appliances, insulation and air sealing.  To qualify you must have an energy audit done on your home before the renovations are started and after they are completed.  Union Gas is offering up to $5000 plus an extra $100 for installing a smart thermostat after you have done the Home Reno Rebate.  (This rebate includes the up to $650 in save on energy rebates.)  If you are not in the Union Gas area, Enbridge is offering similar rebates as well.  Check out your natural gas distributor website for details.

The rebates help but the cost of renovations can put a pinch on your cash flow.  We are always happy to help with your cash flow planning and home financing needs.  To book an appointment give us a call at 289-755-0146.
